New Office

Well its time to move. Our current office is falling apart, literally. The ceiling tiles are soaked and collapsing, and the landlord thought it would be a good idea to contain it by connecting a garden hose into a bucket draped down our walls from the ceiling.
If this was just something that happened because of of a single event it would be ok, but it's been going on for three years.
We found a great new space that's twice as big with no leaks at the same floor rate. We also have a dedicated recording room where we can record our radio show and even video tape it.
We all gathered around the new office today and mapped out where we want our desks. Everyone seemed truly excited and we are getting ready for our biggest year yet. Well actually every year has been a bigger year than the one before so I guess that's no surprise.
Our new sales team starts in two weeks as well. We aren't sure how that dynamic will work since we never had a sales team. We all sort of just sold to our customers individually, but now we are going all fancy.
Now it's night time and we're wrapping presents as we're all excited the shortest day of the year has finally come.
One interesting note is that Qwest has decided to change DSL modems/routers in the past month from Actiontec to 2wire. We can no longer put a Qwest device into bridging mode and put a firewall in front of it. Neither Qwest nor 2wire will support it either, so we're just stuck with it.
2wire routers are horrible firewalls to add to the misery. So if you have a business and have need of being either HIPPA or SOX compliant, then get a T1 or a different DSL company.
